Legal and Compliance Specialist
A Legal and Compliance Specialist makes sure the commitments Atlas Bench makes in contracts, data protection terms and security reviews are accurate and kept. You review agreements, run the compliance program, and answer customers' security and privacy questionnaires with evidence.

About the role
We work inside customers' most sensitive systems, including in regulated industries, so what we promise about data and access has to be true and provable. You own those promises.
You work with leadership on contracts and with engineering on the controls behind them.
What you will do
- Review and negotiate customer agreements, statements of work and data processing terms
- Maintain policies for data protection, security and acceptable use
- Answer security questionnaires and privacy reviews with evidence
- Track obligations under GDPR, CCPA and the frameworks customers ask about
- Support audits and keep the evidence behind every control organized
What you bring
- Three or more years in legal, compliance or contracts at a technology or services company
- Working knowledge of GDPR and US privacy law
- Experience with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 programs
- Precise writing, and a low tolerance for vague commitments
- Clear written English
Good to have
- A law degree or paralegal qualification
- Experience with HIPAA and healthcare customers
- Experience with a compliance platform such as Vanta or Drata
