About the role
You sit between the people who do the work and the platform they do it in. Most of the job is listening well enough to turn a messy process into schemes, workflows, fields and permissions that still make sense a year later.
You work in a small team with an architect and a project manager, and you are trusted with the configuration itself rather than a ticket queue about it.
What you will do
- Run discovery workshops and turn what you hear into a written design before anything is built
- Configure Jira projects, workflows, schemes, fields, automation and permissions in Cloud
- Structure Confluence spaces, templates and permissions so every page has an owner
- Document each decision so an admin who was not in the room can maintain it
- Train admins and team leads on what you built, and hand it over cleanly
What you bring
- Two or more years administering or configuring Jira for a team that depended on it
- Working knowledge of Confluence and of Jira Service Management or Jira Product Discovery
- Clear written English: designs, decisions and handover notes are part of the deliverable
- Comfort running a workshop with people more senior than you
- Availability for most of the working day in an Americas time zone
Good to have
- An Atlassian certification in Jira administration
- Experience with Jira Cloud automation at scale
- Spanish as well as English
