Agent Engineer
An Agent Engineer builds the agents and integrations that let teams use large language models inside Jira and Confluence, with the permissions and guardrails that keep them safe. At Atlas Bench you design agent workflows, connect them to the systems they need, and make sure what they can reach is decided on purpose.

About the role
Agents are the fourth layer of the work we do, and the one that depends most on the three under it. An agent is only as safe as the identity it runs as and the data it can read, so you design those first.
You build with Rovo, Forge and the Model Context Protocol, and you test agents against the ways they fail as well as the ways they succeed.
What you will do
- Design agent workflows for service management, delivery and knowledge work
- Build Rovo agents and Forge actions, and connect agents to other systems through MCP
- Define the identity, scopes and data each agent can reach
- Write evaluations that show whether an agent is doing its job
- Help customers write usage policies that match what their agents can actually do
What you bring
- Three or more years of software engineering in TypeScript or Python
- Hands-on experience building with large language model APIs
- An understanding of authentication, authorization and least privilege
- Experience testing systems that do not answer the same way twice
- Clear written English
Good to have
- Experience with Atlassian Rovo or Forge
- Experience building MCP servers or tools
- A security or governance background
