What it is

Improvement

Jira adds a sorting dropdown to the timeline. It stays in sync with the sorting controls in the column headers and shows which field the timeline is sorted by. Users can also sort by explicit start and end dates, which they cannot do today. It applies to both business and software timelines.

Users

Users see a new sorting dropdown in the timeline toolbar, can sort by start or end date, and can change direction with arrows or clear sorting with the x.
