Agent access details in space settings

Space settings in Jira and Jira Service Management now let you filter the access list by user type and show a note about who appears there. It has been rolling out to Atlassian Cloud sites since 5 Nov 2026.

What it is

Improvement

In space settings, the People or Access page has a new User type filter. You can use it to view people, agents, or both. A new message above the list clarifies that it covers only those holding a specific space role, so people with other forms of access are not shown.

Admins

Space admins and Jira admins can narrow the list by user type to review which people and agents hold a space role.

Written from Atlassian's release note and checked against it automatically. Atlassian's original stays the source of truth.

Before it lands

  1. Open Space settings, then People or Access, and try the User type filter.
  2. Read the new message above the list so reviews rest on what the list actually shows.

Fixed scope. The assessment reads the three layers an agent lands on, identity, platform and governance, before anything is switched on. You get the findings, the ownership gaps, and the order to close them in.
